Marcella H.
Marcella has been taking music lessons since she was 3 years old. She decided to pursue her guitar studies at UNC. She has participated in concert bands, marching bands, jazz bands, as well as choirs all through collegiate level. She is an avid horseman and has owned horses for over 13 years. She also loves to collect turquoise jewelry and spoil her dog. Marcella has a passion for teaching that started with horse lessons as a teenager. She sees how music has changed so many lives and she loves to see students smiling and having fun while learning to play.

Angelo M.
Angelo started his music education in high school. He learned by teaching as well, early on, that he had a hidden ability to explain things in a broken down manner that allows others to excel in learning music. He later went on to study music at Regis University. Outside of music he plays soccer, goes for walks, and loves to tinker with coding software. He loves teaching because of that moment when students say "aha." He loves being able to make learning accessible to everyone.

Josh has had a passion for music for as long as he can remember. He performed from a young age and got his degree in music. Since then he has found many ways including teaching to share his passion for music. Outside of music he loves to spend time with his wife, his puppy, outdoors, and much more. He loves to teach because he had teachers growing up that loved music and shared that same passion with him. He believes everyone should experience the transformational power of music for themselves.

Kadin has been playing the violin for 21 years. He has participated in Orchestras throughout his career. Kadin has also played at the Disney Honors of Performing Arts at Disney World in Orlando, FL. where the Orchestra competed with other Ochestras from around the world. Kadin was also part of his college orchestra and a part of the "pit" in musical theater. On his off time he likes to play with his dog Oliver and hang out with friends and family. Kadin loves to share his passion of music with his students that he teaches, in hopes to further their knowledge and understanding of the violin.

Katie has been singing and playing piano since she was a young child and has been teaching since she was a young adult. She has a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance, which has made her an expert in healthy vocal production for all musical genres. She sings lots of opera, but specializes in teaching how to mix voices registers and belt. Katie loves to cook for her loved ones and spend time outside. She also loves to watch reality shows like Survivor. She loves to make personal connections with students in order for them to feel comfortable enough to feel vulnerable, try new things, and grow together.

Nora has a bachelor's degree in vocal performance and is currently pursuing her master's degree. She has been peforming in musicals and choirs since she was 8 years old and was a 2019 Jimmy Award nominee. Her favorite musical is The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Outside of music teaching she loves to bake, sew, and play games. She feels that she learns something new from students in every lesson. She loves to see students find their own unique voice and help them to pursuse music they want to perform.

Penelope has been passionate about music from a very young age, starting with school choir, moving to high school band, and continuing to learn and grow her skills! She learned a lot from her own band instructor and hopes to create the same fun, exciting, and rich learning environment they provided. Along with a passion for music, Penelope also enjoys all things outdoors and a good book. She believes that every student is an individual with personal goals and unique learning styles to get there. Penelope is ready to reach you on your level, work with your pace, and help you develop a love for music the same way she has.

Gabriel went to the Manhatten School of Music, studied abroad in Amsterdam, and conducted at Juliard. He has a wide range of performing credits with the Colorado Symphony as well as the Kansas City Symphony. He has taught in private lessons for some time. Outside of music he enjoys tap dancing, martial arts, hiking, and learning world drum music. He lives for the "light bulb" moments in his teaching and gets excited about learning from students as much as he does from teaching them.

Red has been playing a variety of instruments for many years. She began teaching early childhood education in 2022. She also managed a band for several years while playing in one herself. Outside of music she enjoys reading, writing, art hanging out with her 2 cats and spending time with loved ones. She also enjoys traveling to other countries. Red enjoys teaching because she knows she is creating core memories for children. She loves seeing their aha reactions on their faces when a concept clicks. Red is her nickname for kids to make her name easy to remember.

Emily has been playing and studying music since she was a child, now using many years of music experience and worship leadership to pursue a career in singing, songwriting, and teaching. She performs regularly and has great experience teaching a wide range of students on guitar, voice, and stage presence. She is also a Nashville recording artist and enjoys going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family. She believes music is a powerful avenue for people and loves to watch students discover and learn what music has to offer.

Joel has been practicing music and performing for over 20 years, starting with school orchestras and eventually in a live touring as a solo artist and with bands, spanning multiple national tours in cities from San Francisco to New Orleans. He studied music business and music theory as well at MSU Denver. Fun facts about Joel include that he has two dogs and a cat, enjoys hiking and horseback riding, and is a fan of any and all forms of art. He adores being able to share his love of music with others, believing that music is one of the most beautiful aspects of life. He loves seeing the confidence musicians get when they can learn to express themselves in a new way.

Mary has a doctorate in music composition from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she also minored in trombone and taught music theory as a graduate assistant. She has many years of performance experience including with the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, the University of North Texas Brass Band, the UW-Madison Symphony Orchestra, and the 2023 International Trombone Festival in Salt Lake City. Fun facts about her include that she loves birding, hiking, reading, and traveling to new places. She loves teaching because she loves to see students apply what they've learned each week and achieving their goals.

Sophia has been a peforming artist for 13 years, singing with various groups and requested at weddings. She has trained as a guitarist as well. She has a passion for vocals in many styles of music and has been in a proram teaching Broadway vocals for elementary school students. Outside of music she has been studying french and ballet. She loves games, her cat, and dance. She is very honored to be a supprotive resource of information for her students, no matter what level at which they are performing.

Logan has been playing music since he was a child. His family wanted them to have a "family band" so he was exposed to music at a very young age. He has performed since in many local bands and various musical productions. He has a long history of teaching private lessons on multiple instruments. Outside of music he loves spending time with family, being outdoors, frisbee golfing, and hiking. He is passionate about teaching music because it has always been an extremey special part of his life. It motivates him to teach every day seeing students discover their passion for music that will also remain with them for a lifetime.

Her music training includes piano, voice, folk guitar, and the woodwind family. She is also a practitioner of the trilogy of expression in performance. MJ believes that music has the power to unlock the voice of the heart and loves mentoring learners who are enthusiastic about expressing from the heart as well.

Sherolyn has a Bachelor of Science in Music with an emphasis in singing performance, a Master of Arts in Communication, a nearly-completed Teacher certification for grades 1-12. She has held college-level teaching positions and has had several years of experience in broadcasting in both public radio and television. For 20+ years she has lead worship in team settings, singing and playing the guitar. She has also sang many original songs for weddings, community events, and churches. To her it is a passion to encourage students as a ministry to help honor God and let the light of students shine through their own passions. She never wants to stop teaching or learning.

Benjamin has been playing saxophone for over 20 years. He majored in classical performance at MSU Denver and performed in many contexts including: bass clarinet and oboe in wind ensemble and orchestra, played soprano saxophone in the MSU Denver saxophone quartet, and studied a type of sign language called sound painting for live composition with a large group. He has also tuaght with Jeffco Public Schools. Fun facts about him include being a self-titled "math and physics nerd" and studying machine learning. He loves to teach because it helps people fall in love with learning in general and he enjoys seeing students discover how capable they are while having fun with a creative hobby.

Dave has been performing and teaching music for over 20 years. He plays a wide variety of styles from jazz to metal and has a Bachelor's degree in music. He plays with many professional groups in Colorado and produces a wide variety of original music as well. He loves to spend time outdoors and enjoys hiking, swimming, paddle boarding and traveling. Dave has a passion for sharing music with others. He is patient, fun, and tries to tailor each lesson to suit every student's indidual needs. Ethan received a DMA in classical guitar and a graduate certificate in music theory from CU Boulder, ans also holds both a Masters and a Bachelor's degree from the Lamont School of Music. In addition to teaching at LSM, he is also a faculty member at Casper College. He loves playing and teaching in all styles from Bach, to The Beatles, to Green Day. Fun facts about Ethan include that he loves to hike, play games, and spend time with his family. Noah has over 20 years of experience drumming and performing as well as 12 years of piano, guitar, and bass guitar experience. He has been a private lesson and high school percussion educator for 9 years as well as a former WGI front ensemble coordinator with a world championship title from 2019. When he isn't teaching he also loves photography, traveling, and learning a wide range of topics. He loves teaching because he feels he lives to share every aspect of his love for music. Helping people find their voice as artists and express creativity in their own way is his biggest passion.

Rayana has completed bachelor’s degrees in both music education and vocal performance, and is currently completing a Masters in Choral conducting. She has been fortunate enough to be a guest soloist for several professional performances, including a production brought to Carnegie Hall in New York City. Fun fact! She loves to compete in water skiing competitions in the northern states such as Minnesota and Wisconsin. She also spends most of her free time with my husband and children. She enjoys outdoor activities, going to the movies, and spending a fair amount of time at the Denver Zoo. It inspires her to watch students overcome musical obstacles throughout their time at LSM. The most rewarding part of one on one lessons, is witnessing the progress students of all ages make each week attending lessons.

Sydney received her Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Puget Sound. She has performed roles such as "The Queen of the Night" from The Magic Flute and Amalia Balash in She Loves Me. She has played piano since the age of 7. Fun facts about her also include that she loves animals - has two rabbits (Bilbo and Buttercup), a dog named Lizzie, and a guinea pig named Pippin. She loves to read (hoping for 100 books this year). Overall, she is really passionate about students learning to play with excellence, technique, and passion. She loves the moment when students realize they have the tools to learn music on their own time.

Theodore F.
Theodore holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music with an emphasis in Music Composition from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Since Graduating in 2011 he has been a working musician, providing music for home daycares and teaching private music lessons. He is currently an accompanist for the Intercessors of the Trinity and Saint Jude's Catholic Parish. As a songwriter and composer he finds himself in the recording studio almost every week mixing, mastering, and recording guitars, vocals, drums, percussion, bass, piano, and any other instrument he can get his hands on. His music professors taught him how to teach himself music, so he loves to teach his students to do the same thing.
