Jordan is a self-taught composer of over 450 piano pieces in the classical style, which he performs with passion for his online channel. This background gives him a unique familiarity with music theory, improvisation, and music notation. Outside of music he enjoys reading, writing short stories, brewing Gong Fu tea, discussing philosophy at his book group, and going on hikes with friends. What makes him most excited about teaching is helping students to understand the reasons behind everything such that they have the independent knowledge and motivation to continuously improve and gain ever greater enjoyment from their playing.
