Private Lessons with Amy H.
Amy H.

Amy has performed with the St. Louis Chamber Chorus and has many years of experience teaching both instrumental and vocal music. She has worked with students of all ages in both group settings and private lessons, and has also directed two musicals and one play. Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and has taught students from pre-K through 12th grade. Alongside her work in music, she enjoys creative pursuits such as painting and jewelry making, as well as spending time outdoors hiking and practicing photography. In her teaching, Amy focuses on building both musical skills and student confidence, helping learners develop a stronger understanding of music while also recognizing their own progress. She aims to create a supportive and engaging lesson environment that can include a sense of playfulness when appropriate, while still maintaining steady growth in performance and musicianship.
