Rachael is a passionate musician, singer-songwriter, and educator who brings a lifelong love of music to every lesson. As a solo acoustic performer, she regularly entertains audiences throughout the local community while continuing to grow as an artist and musician. Largely self-taught on both acoustic and electric guitar, Rachael has also developed skills in vocal performance and sound engineering, giving her a well-rounded understanding of music from both the performer’s and creator’s perspective. Her musical journey began early and includes performing throughout high school in band, orchestra, and pep band, where she was the school’s only tuba player and was honored with the prestigious John Philip Sousa Music Award upon graduation. Rachael’s favorite part of teaching is helping students experience those exciting “lightbulb moments” when a challenging concept suddenly clicks or a melody and rhythm finally come together through practice and perseverance. She believes every student has a unique creative voice and finds joy in nurturing their curiosity, confidence, and artistic expression. Her upbeat, encouraging teaching style creates a supportive environment where students can build strong musical foundations while discovering the excitement and fulfillment that music brings.
